How to create journal
Point!
- To access the Journal List from the sidebar, click on ‘Journal List’ under the Journal section.
Journal List
- Here, you can see details such as Date, Branch, Reference No., Debit, Credit, and Added By. You can only view journals here.
Add Journal
- To access Journal Entry from the sidebar, click on ‘Journal Entry’ under the Journal section.
- You can also access Add Journal from the Journal List page.
Point!
- Click the 'Add Journal' button to add a new journal entry.
Step 1 /3 ( when debit and credit are same )
- First, select a branch.
- Then, click the plus (+) icon on the Add Journal page to add a new row for the journal entry.
- Next, enter the parent and child account names, the transaction amount, and VAT in the appropriate debit and credit sections as required.
Point!
- Click the 'Submit' button to add the journal entry.
Step 2 /3 ( when debit and credit are not same )
- If the debit and credit amounts in a journal entry are not equal, the entry cannot be saved.
Step 3 /3 ( when VAT option is off)
- If the VAT option is disabled in Business Settings, the VAT section will not be visible.
Journal Edit

- Click "Edit" to open the journal edit page.

- Click "View" to open the journal view page.

- This is the Journal View page, where you can see all the journal details.
Journal Delete

- Click "Delete" to open the journal view page.
Step 1 /1
- Click 'Yes, delete it' to confirm deletion. To cancel, click 'No, don’t delete' or click outside the confirmation box.
